PRODUCTION ZONE: San Casciano dei Bagni, Siena, Tuscany
GRAPE VARIETIES: Sangiovese 70% - Merlot 30%
GRAPE YIELD PER HECTARE: 60 quintals VINIFICATION: fermentation at a controlled temperature in wooden vats with indigenous yeasts, followed by maceration for 10 days. No filtering to avoid altering the natural characteristics of the wine.
AGEING: 12 months in oak barrels and barriques. 4 months in the bottle
CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS: alcohol content 14%, total acidity6 g/1
COLOUR: deep ruby red
AROMA: cherry notes on the nose, well integrated with chocolate and vanilla
FLAVOR: plush, with persistent, structured tannin and a smooth finish.
